The Story Behind Alien Takeover 2: New Found Love.


Hi guys,

So, if anyone is, indeed, wondering why I made this game, then this is the Devlog you!

So, for starters, when I looked at the first Alien Takeover game, and it was the most popular game on my games that was not FNaF fan made, and then I got a lot of motivation to make this game, Alien Takeover was ranging about five to ten views per week and it has somehow managed to keep up.

So, why did I choose two different gameplays (top-down and platformer)? Well, I wanted to you guys to see how much the city had changed after a year of the Ojitas took over the planet in a top-down view. Why? I do not know, so, yeah… I also wanted to see what I could make, so I made two different types of players, and made the other player a platformer. I wanted to keep the gameplay of the platformer the same as the first. Due to the people who I have talked to liked the gameplay! So, how would I try to put in the platforming style? Well, I had a plan - houses. I wanted to allow the player to enter all of the houses in the map, and I succeeded.

How could I come up with the ideas? I have no idea! Maybe, many years of playing GTA? Maybe how Battlefield could blow up houses to enter? I generally have no idea… Maybe both?

Next up, trophies…

I wanted to make many, many trophies… I achieved 14, which is not too bad, but I could have gotten more trophies, so I may put more trophies in my NEXT Alien Takeover game…

Originally, I wanted this game to take around two weeks to develop, it did not. It took around… 5-8 months to fully develop… So, a little peed off about that.
