1st – Levels/Content
Quite interesting: the game is procedurally generated. So this is the most time consuming one, creating all the levels. In a few days I will reveal the genre of the game (take your guesses!). These levels are sorts of assembly blueprints that will be then fed to the application, and have it render inside the game.
So far I would say I am around the 50-75% benchmark, but the final number will depend on my creative thinking skills and imagination. And perhaps if I get some extra help from other people.
"Levels" probably don't mean entirely what you might be expecting...
2nd – Art Directions & Assets
This will involve creating the vision of what I want to bring to life, and how I want to do it. It's the coating on the concept. Given my skills in art, I will avoid over-killing it, but we'll see what I am capable of.
Once again, I might ask some friends if they would like to give me a helping hand, but because there's a decent amount of things to produce (even if not a heckton of it on the scale of a large game) and I don't know a lot of artists who'd be up, I might just entirely lock it in as assets made by me.
3rd – The "Render Engine" / Code
This part will probably be fun, it's the technical aspect. Depends on how much I want to make something ultra secured and well made, or just something quick and easy to conceive.
4th – Maybe some OSTs?
I underrate my music skills too much, so I suppose it's time to make em shine?
I might make a few soundtracks.
Psst... I'm close to level 800!
