Endfall: Development Update | 12.6.2020
Endfall on Steam
As of now, I'm TRYING to get it on Steam, but the process is taking way too long. All I can say is that... it's gonna happen, I just don't know when.
My YouTube Channel
As I said before, I'm also in the process of improving my channel. I've been trying to make a single video for like 2 weeks already😅 but I just get way too scared and redo the entire thing again. I apologize for my dumb insecurities.
Fixing some problems with myself
This game is suffering of scope creep, I keep adding more and more stuff and I never set myself a definitive goal for the game. Thanks to this, I haven't felt motivated to do anything related to the game, but I'm trying my best right now to set some limits and have an actual plan, and to do this..
I'm starting from scratch (kind of)
I made a completely new project file for the game and I'm moving all the important assets to it and deleting the stuff that sucks.
This doesn't mean the game is changing in it's entirety, it's just so I can have a healthier work habit so I can finish this game sometime next year.
Studying my favorite games
I've been playing a lot of my favorite games recently and trying to learn what makes them good and memorable.
I learned a lot of little tricks to enhance the gameplay of Endfall, after all, something I should always keep in mind while making this game is the fact that it needs to be fun! something I kind of ignored while making the demo
Having an interesting story is cool and all, but the most important aspect of a game is it's gameplay, and after releasing that demo, I realized that there's not much of that and when there was, it was frustratingly difficult for the player.
Conclusion
Anyway, that's all I have to say! As always, thank you all for your support, we're almost at 200 followers! 👀
Also the demo's already at 2,000 downloads which is just insane to me.
