There's been some new followers recently, which is great!

What aspects of Insectile do YOU want to see more of in the upcoming weeks? More bug designs? More backgrounds? Battle mechanics? Let me know!

Working on literal dirt today. Something more organic than the squared-off stuff that's currently in the game (3rd slide).

Day 3 of cleaning up the menus in my insect RPG! πŸ›

The "Ready" button now points to where the first mushroom will be. I think this makes it much easier for your eyes to follow the attack patterns, no matter how elaborate!

How do people describe my game?

- Dredge, but cute!

- PokΓ©mon Tetris!

- Secretly The Last of Us πŸ„ ??

- Extremely clever!

Here's those honey bees I just posted up close! Adorable!

Day 1 of cleaning up the menus in my game!

Still more to do, but it's already a lot easier to focus on the combat than it was!

Day 2 of cleaning up the menus in my insect RPG!

Now encounters have this smooth transition - It makes the buildup to finding a rare bug much more satisfying!πŸ›

New clovers! πŸ€ I think these will allow me to make some really pretty rooms. The old ones were much chunkier and obviously tiled (2nd slide).

Twinning! πŸ„πŸž

A plan for my game is a village of mushrooms where you can take side-quests finding each person an insect buddy!

Finished up these cute honey bees up just in time to post today! They can clean up weak enemies with their damaging pollen!

Day 4 of cleaning up the menus in my insect RPG - the "collect gauge"! πŸ¦‹

Watch your actions resolve in real time and see how that affects your odds of collecting a new bug. Experimentation is now far more satisfying!
