Diamond Pusher started off as a final year project while I was at university, but as I finished my course, the game was never abandoned. In fact, the game was updated with new levels, music, and code optimisations as time went by.
Now, the game has been released as open source, which includes graphics, music, original boxart and banners, levels, and of course, the source code. Diamond Pusher is now an open source game because I want to move onto my next game, which is currently being made in GameMaker Studio. Hopefully, I will be able to show off some screenshots in a month or so.
If you’re planning on playing Diamond Pusher in Python itself instead of the provided Windows EXE, make sure that you have the latest versions of Python 2.7 and Pygame installed.
Have fun!
