This is not working

Ok, this is definetly not working. AI is not quite there, not enough variation of things that the cubes can do. Not enough gameplay really… After you set up the party there isn’t really anything much to do. So… It’s simply not fun.

Spent some time brainstorming with Eliza, and the ideas we have to salvage this game would take way too much time to implement. So we decided to scrap the idea and try to start a new one that could be quicker to do. We’re thinking of doing a 3D Platformer in the Cube Party.

“The Cube Party is about to start, but everything is missing! No drinks, no food, not even the electricity is connected! Can you get everything ready for the party in time? You can start by going to the basement and retrieving some drinks, but careful, I heard we’re having a bad case of rat infestation D:”

Seems like something that we could do quickly, already using the assets we have from the previous idea, and could potentially be fun.

Well, that’s it… Tomorrow I’ll start working on the new idea, Here is what the game was looking like if you’re curious:

Building system + UI! So happy :D Now gotta work on the actual points-system, winning conditions and stuff like that. Also more interaction between cubes.

New Headers! Just realized that despite all the new artwork, the header and thumbnail of the page were still showing that awful model made in 5 minutes. So… Took a screenshot from the game and made a new header/thumbnail ^^

Assets Assets Assets! Eliza has been hard at work on the assets, and they are looking great :D Meanwhile the UI is coming along, and now it’s possible to create stuff pulling from buttons. Hopefully I’ll have it playable by tomorrow.
