Time for an update post!

Read the article for where we're at and where we're going.

It's been 3 months now since our last update post and I think it's time for another.

Some of you may have seen recent development streams here on Game Jolt but for those who have not, this post is for you. A more permanent record of progress if you will.

We're getting super close to having all the main content for the game functional!

What this means is, the game is nearly playable from start to finish. There is still a lot of work to do though.

Sound:

One of the biggest jobs left is sound design. We are missing sounds for many parts of the game and adding them as well as getting them right is going to take some time to do.

Polish:

We also have a lot of polish left to do. Things might be working, but they can probably be working better. We'll be going through the entire game looking for ways to improve quality from broader strokes to the finer details. There is a lot of work to be done here. Lots of small tweaks and tasks to really make this thing shine.

Testing:

During this time we'll be testing a lot to find and fix whatever bugs we can. Not to mention to ensure the game plays well. We might outsource some of this testing as we did with @TheHyperSloth when he streamed some of the game. This kind of thing is a huge help and we are really grateful to him for doing that for us. If you know any YouTuber's or streamers that like Indie games and metroidvanias please let us know in the comments.

We're nearly functional, but unfortunately that does not mean nearly done. Mind you we are a lot closer to done than when we started...

Thanks for following us on this journey so far, we look forward to you all being able to play this game when it's ready.

Stop by development streams here on Game Jolt when you see them happening its always a pleasure!

We're back with another update to Eldritchvania!

The focus here was accessibility, namely the flashing effects included throughout the game.

We've added the option to turn off flashing effects!

This is it. After 5 long years of development, this passion project of ours is done!

So prepare yourselves for a journey into the dilapidated ruins, of despicable monsters and intricate puzzles.

We hope you enjoy!
