First of all, a friend of mine one time expressed dissatisfaction towards people who say they're leaving gamejolt or taking a break, then either coming back 30 minutes later or never leaving at all

I dont think we should be blaming those people

Gamejolt, like ANY OTHER social media, is addictive, and it takes strong willpower, especially as a teen, to take a break or outright leave it forever.

Since most people i know on gamejolt are teenagers, they often dont have the willpower to take breaks. But they also dont because of ANOTHER REASON. which leads me to-

STOP DEMANDING YOUR TROUBLED FRIENDS TO STAY ON GAMEJOLT

JUST FUCKING DONT

everytime i see a post from a clearly mentally troubled person and they say they want to take a break, everyone is always like "no, no! Please dont leave! Stay! Stay!"

Well have you ever considered that maybe encouraging them to NOT take a break from this SHITTY website is baaad~?

By encouraging them to stay, you are making them stay on the deep end, and maybe they even slip deeper... and deeper... until they do something that no words can heal.

To anyone out there reading this that needs a break... please. Take it. You will not believe how much a breath of fresh air helps you. And just know that you are loved dearly. You may be a stranger. But you're still human. No matter who you are, what you believe, who you love, who you believe you are... i still love you. We all still love you.

I know this is such an unexpected post but i really, REALLY just needed to talk about this.
