Heya! Welcome to this new devlog where not gonna lie. Lots of things have changed as you all may have recognized so lets break em down before talking about the real game progress. Which has been a bit interrupted by myself going through mid year exams which didnt help much.
-Remaking of the logo and the gamepage
Some of you all may have noticed but the games thumbnail, description, header and logo have all been changed for something less messy and generic where some aspects, main concept and team members were revealed. It sure isnt perfect as I am writing this devlog but will take the time to perfection it later.
Anyway with this out of the way lets talk about the REAL progress here
-Promotional Art Pieces
A few weeks ago, a promotional artist has been recruited and made some actual reference sheets for Sky. Check it out!

-Programming
The progress on this end has been pretty dormant for these past few weeks considering the fact that spriting has been pretty much linked with importing assets to GMS2 so nothing really interesting to talk about except some aspects of the battle system worked on.
-Spriting
After some brainstorming I managed to figure out the complete reskin of the ruins which were worked onto Tiled to import them into the game engine which are pretty different from before even though the general aspect is still generally the same.
Here are some examples.


As you can see the aspect is a bit more dominant which indicates presence on the ruins for something a little sketchy while activating audio entries as you go through them.
As for enemies we have thought of some working concepts which me and @THE-GREAT-OMAR will be working on for next week but we nontheless still managed to sprite out a few concept enemies.

As for the UI, buttons were made which do match a bit of the soul having "not enough determination".

-Writing
As for scripting, the making of a masterdoc has began presenting characters and the aftermath of the neutral ending before Sky's fall as another writer has been recruited which notably offered an idea for a second sub area in snowdin along with some character scripting and shop ideas. Overall the ideas for the first 2 areas are done and needed to be scripted.
Gameplay wise ideas have been pretty stale with having a grey soul to work out with. Since these are linked with bosses nothing much has been figured out as to this.
-Music
A drastic change has been going on down this department beginning with the deletion of the youtube videos featuring the games soundtrack for the reason of the logo being outdated. Instead some of these got uploaded in gamejolt and will be uploaded in soundcloud a few days after this devlog comes out.

-Some thoughts
A few people who read this might wonder why isnt there any progress left to share.
The reason behind some of this is me going through exam period and the musicians taking some time off development because of real life issues which explains why no other new soundtrack got released. Theres some more reasons to that but i wont share them (nothing crazy.)
