Before anything, I'd like to apologize for there not being an August devlog, but I'd also like to thank those who are accompanying this game. Without further, let's get into the devlog.
# Progress Story-Wise
I've been having a lot of fun coming up with the story of the game, while I've been mostly focused on creating a solid backstory for all of the more important characters, but I've also been working on the story for the Ruins.
I don't want to spoil aything just yet, so i won't be really showing the story for the Ruins this devlog. I can't say for sure how close to done the Ruins script is, but if I had a rough estimate, I'd say it's about 50%~ done.
## Introducing: Asgore
Although I had already announced this in the previous devlog, he didn't have an official design yet, and I also barely talked about how he's gonna act in the game!
Hopefully in the next devlog, I'll have finished Payrus' and/or Sans' designs so I can showcase them.
Back to Asgore, he-

# Progress On Coding
While progress on coding hasn't been ideal, I've gotten closer to finishing some of the more important features, however, I can't showcase them here due to the issue I'm about to discuss:
As some of you may already know, my plan is to release a small demo of the Ruins in early 2025, as that is the date in which I'll be getting a new PC, once I get the new PC I'll be moving the game to gamemaker 2.
However, I've very recently encountered a very slight issue. My current PC is not very... good, a while ago, electricity on my house went off for a bit while I had my PC on, which resulted in the engine that I'm currently using to make the game not work properly anymore.
The phase which allows me to make the game actually *playable* is completely non-functional, which makes it impossible to keep developing the game on the engine.
While it's possible that it gets fixed, this might mean that the initial plan of having a early demo will be completely scrapped. Once I get the new PC it'll all be completely fine though.
