So I put out a poll over a week ago about a swear word filter, and that I would implement a feature to block them out at your choosing. Unfortunately, it is turning out to be more of a major pain than I anticipated.

My translators especially mentioned this problem, as some bad words in foreign language are actually acceptable in some contexts, but not in others. Essentially, adding a filter would require a large-language model which is far beyond any of our capabilities, and even then it wouldn't be the best way forward.

So we've made the decision to not put in a swear filter... But! We have a compromise - we're adding age ratings and content warnings instead. These would be displayed when you load up a fangame in the in-game launcher, and here's what we plan to include. We have decided to stick with a rating and content warning system similar to that of a game store.

This will be entirely up to the creator's responsibility as it would be extremely difficult to police it - we are not keeping any fangames created on any servers (at least I don't plan to... yet) so this will be entirely at your discretion.

We apologise for the inconvenience this causes but we think it's the best way forward, as every other idea is either unfeasible or unrealistic by culture. Hope you can understand.
