Update 0.0.1b Notes


Added

  1. My own options menu that can be accessed in gameplay and the Title Screen.

Animation (Sonic)

  1. Made a transition from “Homing Hit” to “Landing”.

  2. Tweaked and changed some animations

Balance (Sonic)

  1. Sped up the Homing Attack greatly. (8,000 - 11,000) and reduced the cool down. (0.2 - 0.1)

Map Fix (Old Green Hill)

  1. Patched some holes and fixed some floating mesh issues. (Don’t know how I missed those, sorry)

  2. Replaced a good amount of section to be flatter. (Made most parts better overall)

  3. Removed the bots from the first bridge due to them causing issues.

  4. Made “Section Loaders” faster and more organized to make them work much better.

Map Tweaks (Old Green Hill)

  1. Messed with the lighting to make it not as super bright. Textures should look better like this now. (Sonic still looks “eh” in some light though)

  2. Added a whole new path to the first Rainbow Ring.

  3. Removed the Death Volume from the water section of the first cave. (There’s a wide spring there now.)

  4. Made the small Level Intro into a Sequence now. (Will now be extremely consistent!)

Actually wasn't liking how the Quickstep section was in shadow I'm tempted to make the sky more blue, even though it's supposed to be morning

After taking a small break I finished up the final area. Still don't know if I'll extend the level or not. But for now this is good.

Redesigned the ending area of Old Green Hill a little HUD close to how it was in older versions New LUT for OGH

Working on more changing camera angles and edited the main big loops camera position

-I will start work on a new Zone very soon, just having trouble thinking of a way to make it and have it play just as good as OGH, not as easy as I thought...

Thanks, everyone! I know it's Sonic but this is the most followers I ever had for a project!! I'll post more updates on the game soon, just life kind of in the way and all! Hope all you are still having fun with Old Green Hill!

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
