Update 0.6.0 - New late game stuff


Hey all! Feel like I’m getting pretty close to the end in terms of content. The only thing I really have left is creating an ending cutscene, and adding triggers so you can unlock characters. Aside from that its mostly just bug testing and balance. Unfortunately the balance aspect I think will be pretty tricky.

Once I finally get to a 1.0 release I’m still hoping to add more content to the game! There’s a bit of marketing I want to do post-release as well, though that will probably take up a lot of time since I’m not entirely sure how to go about doing that kind of thing.

CONTENT

  • A new enemy type has been added. It appears after floor 21.

  • 8+ new floor possibilities have been added. This applies only to when you are on floor 21+

  • A new obstacle has been added to the game. It appears on floors 15 - 19

  • There are now two types of healing boxes. One gives 50HP and the other gives 25HP

BALANCE

  • Changed some of the room layouts for floors 20+ so they are more fair.

  • Changed the speed/timing of a bunch of different enemies, so there is more time to react (hopefully)

  • Explosives boxes are even slooooooower

  • Healing boxes have a higher chance of spawning

MISC.

  • You can now TECHNICALLY right-click to shoot, but a dropdown menu appears. This is an issue with Flash. I’m looking into a work around.

  • Now using a new scanline overlay.

  • Added minor visual adjustment for when the player has the Extra Life reward

BUGS

  • Fixed bug with audio options. They should work as intended now.

  • Fixed bug where enemies and bosses would show up in the main menu after pausing and quitting the game.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
