📒 Devlog #2 - AI, Loot & Polish Update
This update was mostly focused on improving the core gameplay and fixing a lot of technical issues behind the scenes.
✨ Added
🎁 Added a loot drop system with multiple rarity tiers:
Legendary
Epic
Rare
Uncommon
Common
💰 Enemies now reward the player with money on death.
❤️ Added medkit and ammo drops.
📊 Added an FPS counter to the UI.
🤖 AI Improvements
Improved enemy movement and behavior.
Started implementing NavigationAgent2D for smoother pathfinding.
Added a basic knockback system when enemies are hit.
🩸 Visual Effects
Added and improved hit effects and death effects.
Blood and damage effects now spawn correctly at the enemy's position.
Improved item drop visuals and spawning.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Fixed several issues where drops and effects could spawn at the wrong position.
Fixed collision and interaction problems between enemies and the player.
Fixed wave progression logic and general gameplay stability.
Cleaned up and optimized parts of the enemy and loot code.
🚧 What's Next?
Finish the new AI pathfinding system.
Add audio settings (Master / Music / SFX volume sliders).
Introduce new weapons and enemy types.
Continue polishing the UI and visual effects.
