So, 2 years ago yesterday, Round Rotate is finally released to the public! And now, it’s time for it to deserve a special update!
Round Rotate ver. 1.3, a.k.a. 2nd Anniversary Update was announced and will be released today!
Changes made
New runtime engine
Previously, Round Rotate was ran under NW.js, provided with Construct 2. But for this update, this game now runs on a brand new runtime engine made by Armaldio, which is a modified version of Electron to be used for Construct 2 games.
New loading screen

The loading screen since this update has been changed a bit. Comparing to the old loading screen, this one is easier in the eyes.
New Game Jolt screen

The Game Jolt screen background is no longer boring, now you can login to your Game Jolt account while pretending to using a sci-fi computer. (Well, not really)
Not to mention, the layout is now more compact comparing to the old one but it’s quite glitchy so watch out!
Unfortunately, you should not open this screen (from the main menu) if you don’t have a mouse (or touchpad).
New icon
From the old, bland icon, to a desktop-friendly(?) icon! Now you can see these cuties right from the game’s icon!

Caveats of new runtime
Sadly, due to Electron’s file system being different to NW.js’, your save data, Game Jolt connection and settings won’t stay! So, if you want to continue playing, simply reconnect your Game Jolt account if you have connected your account from the previous update.
I think that’s all for the update log, so I hope you enjoy it.
Before I go
I have started a fan-art contest (currently only one that participates) to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the game yesterday.
Thanks for playing my game and happy rotating!
