Update 1.8: Mouse support, better HUD, settings menu re-done, improved netcode and RAM usage a lot!


New features:

  • Added mouse support in missions (you can also change the mouse sensititvity in settings)

  • HUD now displays "P1" and eventually "P2" with input type

  • Added possibility to change keyboard inputs

  • Raised speed of some elements (objects, stars) for a more dynamic game

  • Re-arranged settings panel, options are now listed by category (audio, video, inputs)

  • Standard enemies now shoot more often

  • Improved RAM usage a lot

  • Fixed a lot of bugs in netcode

  • Modified level 8 to add walls

  • Volume can now be set more accuratly

  • Stars in mission and menu can now be bigger

Bug fixes :

  • Fixed bug on Linux where window would not be vertically centered on startup

The game is now available at https://gamejolt.com/games/blokoding/843194

Before you could play with keyboard, mouse and controller. However, it was impossible to play in 2-players mode with 2 controllers (it was 1 controller max).

Now this will be possible in the next release! 🎮🎮

Short tutorial I made, displayed when the game is launched for the first time.

Space War now playable on web browsers!... But there is an annoying bug (when you dies the game crashes). This is due to a bug in emscritpen llvm compiler : https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project

I will upload a new version when it will be fixed!
