Update #1: Improved jump physics and more, soon!

Hello everyone!

NickyP here. First of all, I just want to say: thank you so much for playing or at least showing interest in my game. I love all things MegaMan, and this project is a fan game I’ve wanted to make for well over a decade now.

I’ve been keeping track of the feedback you guys provided, and the most common thing I hear is regarding the jump physics. They’re too strict and aren’t quite up to par with the classic mechanics, I’m told.

Good news, then: they’ve been improved upon significantly.

In true MegaMan fashion, you now have greater control over your jump distance and momentum. You can jump from a neutral position and move freely (before, you could not move back/forward from a neutral jump). Once you let go of the direction key, you’ll lose momentum (before, if you jumped forward, you could only change direction, not stop entirely).

Hopefully with this fix, you’ll find my game plays much closer to MegaMan 1-6/9-10 than it did before, and present a more pleasant experience.

The improved jump physics will be included in the next version update. Once I finish TomahawkMan’s stage and add a few more extra characters, I’ll release the next version of the game for you guys to sink your teeth into.

Until next time!

~NickyP

I've updated the character select screen to include the character icons. Looks clean and fills out a lot of dead space.
