Update 6/12/2023

Hey folks! This weekend has been very eventful, so let's get right to it!

So, let me address the elephant in the room, "where is the game? You said there was a chance it was releasing May 26. You then said you couldn't do, and said there was a solid chance it was releasing before June 10, so where is it???"

Well truthfully saying, I'm pretty bad at deadlines. I THOUGHT I could do it considering that I did not have much left to do, but I was proven wrong. I'm really sorry, but believe me, if you give me time, it'll be WAY better than the idea I initially had before releasing the game, which was to just release it. No beta testing, nothing. But this time, no deadlines, just releasing the game whenever it feels right. (which SHOULD be soon)

Progress report:

So first of all, my school year has officially ended for me in my country on June 9! This is great news as now I'll have WAY more free time to work on the game! And all of this weekend, I've been working exceptionally hard on the jump scares! 8/10 characters have rough outlines of their jumpscares (with the rest currently being worked on) that have been implemented into the game. This is one of if not the LAST important things I have to work on for this game, and I'm taking a different approach to it than I usually would.

You see, what I like to do is 100% complete EVERYTHING in the game before beta testing, and so do a lot of other people. But me? I'm taking a different route. Yes, the game is very functional, but not entirely complete, and that is very representable with the jumpscares. 2/10 characters have fully modeled jumpscares, that being Coso and Cosa. Everybody else has just very rough outlines showing what their jumpscares would look like without having much if not any detail, just the outline. However, just because the jumpscares are in the game, but not properly scary or modeled, they work just fine. You get jumpscared, get sent to a game over, then to the menu, and that happens for everybody, and it WORKS!

Now why am I telling you this? It seems pretty unprofessional of me. Well, that's because I'm opening up a separate server for Five Nights at Coso's PLUS: Deluxe Edition where people in it can get the game EARLY and test it out for me! There are some limitations to this, however.

For one, you can only access it through Mida's Discord Server IF you are level 4 or above. This means you would have to be in the server communicating with the community a bit to get beta testing privileges! Additionally, you need to ACTUAL be active in that beta testing server. Give me reports on bugs you see throughout the game, if you're there JUST to play the game early, then I'm kicking you out, and not giving credit to your name. With that being said, while in the server, obviously don't show anything off to the public. This could be through showing off exclusive images or audio, just don't.

Of course, beta testing is not happening yet as I have to finish up making rough outlines of the remaining characters jumpscares plus some extra audio fixes and whatever else.

That's it for the update, the next update I give will the announcement of the beta testing server opening up! Be prepared!
