Update #6 (Final release)

Been nearly half a year since the last update, and Bumlee’s initial release is nearing its anniversary. While that does make me smile a little bit, knowing that it’s still only my first game is kind of sad, isn’t it… Time to let go and focus on newer projects.

My mood’s been pretty up and down for a long while now, but right now I feel like I really do want to put a lot of time into making games again. Not entirely sure exactly which project I’ll be focusing on next, I started up quite a few ideas over the year, but I’ll probably end up going with something new and fresh.

As for Bumlee, I’ve completely overhauled the customization screen, added a pause screen, and made some smaller fixes here and there. Might’ve forgotten about something, but to be fair I haven’t released a devlog since August, lol.

There’s plenty of other things I’d like to do to improve the game, but as I’ve already said, I believe I need to stop and move on. I already spent far too long on my first game ever, I know that I’m much better off moving on to other projects.

If you’d like to know what I’ve been up to, part of my time has been spent working with some classmates on Rogue Elements (http://www.indiedb.com/games/rogue-elements), which might come to itch.io fairly soon, though we’re considering keeping development up for a bit longer.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
