This update adds level modifications in "Carven", "Stack", and "Overcross". It also adds a system that detects and auto-heals damaged save files, restoring all stats and totals.
Carven (level 5) now has a tiny starting area enclosed by hearts, such that a player must use an attack to escape it, before they can go anywhere. This is a way to introduce the heart blocks and switches, without using any help text. After getting out of the tiny area, there's a larger enclosed area that requires a vertical attack to open. The help text near the original switch blocks has been removed. Generally, I prefer to use in-game interaction and discovery to teach mechanics rather than text.

Stack (level 10) now has the tower clamps level with the rest of the floor. It's a small change, but it feels a lot smoother, and most first-time players will likely tread this bit of floor quite a few times.

Overcross (level 11) has a variety of small updates, mostly aimed at making tiny mistakes less costly, but the most important of these is under the Up-Attack switch block. Two rescue posts have been added at either end of the razorvine trench.

This means that you can miss the ledge by a bit, and as long as you don't come up super short, you'll just have a spooked, but intact owl.

Here we see Gable perched on a post, stretching, and evidently not especially spooked at the moment.
Special thanks to Mikey Blighe, whose multi-video let's play up to Overcross, is what prompted me to make this change, among a few others. :)
Save game auto-heal was added to detect and instantly correct damaged save files upon loading them. This should fix saves that were affected by the broken stats issue that some players encountered. Just in case, you can also force the healing system to heal your current save with console command "fixworld" or "fw" for short (no quotes). Special thanks to one of my Kickstarter backers for letting me know they were running into this problem, and providing details that helped me narrow down the cause. :)
More to come, and until then, take care, all!
