UPDATE! Loot Kid 1.1 has been released.

Good morning/afternoon/evening/night, everyone!

We’re happy to announce the updated version of Loot Kid has been released. Thanks for all the support during the jam, even though the game was far from perfect. With this update we’re hoping to be closer to that perfection!

Version notes:

  • Keyboard controls have been changed to
    W/Arrow key up = Jump, A= shield, D= Sword and Space=roll

  • Hitboxes have been fixed.

  • Joypad support has been added.

  • Slashing animation has been sped up.

  • Strength, reward and the number of enemies has been refined per floor.

  • “Experimenting” room has been added. On the very first run, players are required to finish a room with 1 enemy on the first floor before being able to go to the lower floors.

  • Duration of invincibilty after being hit has been increased.

  • Enemies do not deal damage when being hit themselves.

  • The bullets of the Eyeball can be reflected to hit the Eyeball with the shield.

All these changes make the game challenging, but in a fair and balanced fashion. We hope you guys enjoy the update! If there were to be any weird things you encounter, please leave a comment.

Now try to beat the highscores! All hail the Loot King!
