Update on what's next

UNDERTALE Eszentialized - what's coming next

It's been quite a long time, wasn't it?

The past few months were not the best to say the least, and I didn't fully enjoy this summer either

Aside from working on another project from time to time (which simply put, I'm starting to regret unless new developments occur)

I had lack of motivation, I had hard time in school, I was stressed out constantly, and I just didn't enjoy my time.

There were developments though, and I'm starting to work on this more frequently.

And so here's my new devlog so you can see what's going to be improved!

First off, as I mentioned way back in my older posts, choice

Something that I slowly worked on since this project started is to make the choices matter more, that monsters will react how they should have instead of areas changing on geno only.

While undertale handles choice well for the most part, it has flaws that I plan on improving upon.

And also I'm gonna finally start expanding on the new area!

Now, as for content update:

New menu changes, mostly new music and SFX settings which are still work in progress, as they're not the most stable yet, but as for the menues itself there were fixes with some visual bugs.

Additionally, the game is also going to have better controller support! (The new buttons were kinda already there, but the controls were tiny bit broken and sometimes the inputs wouldn't register properly)

and more bug fixes like fixing "naming the fallen human" bug where sometimes you couldn't press "Done" if you rebound your confirm key to something specific.

As for gameplay wise itself, a small but neat change is at the beginning of the game where frisk falls down instead of just starting there

how was the fall

(WELCOME TO THE UND-) ehm, moving on..

New room???

I wonder how much dialogue this single sign can have.

As mentioned, there are going to be neutral improvements and oversight improvements, such as the funny "You are quite merciful" dialogue even if you kill half of the population.

Now, that's also changed (with more variations of course.)

(Also, there were optimalizations done so some of the additions this mod has shouldn't cause lag)

Alright, you get the point, I won't reveal more of this now.

Let's talk about another feature that some people might enjoy, some people might hate it? I'll need a better feedback on this in the future, but here is a screenshot and you can guess what's going on

Now, there have been lots of more features, but what would be the fun if everything was spoiled?

For everyone that stayed and keeps supporting my projects, thank you! I really appreciate it alot and I'll try my best to make a fun experience for all of you.

If you have any suggestions or wanna give me feedback, you can join my discord server, but if you just wanna post on gamejolt, you can!

I hope all of you reading this will have a good day!

See you next time!
