Hi, been a while huh?

Yeah, I took a little break from Fragile Hearts, but now I’ve managed to find motivation to come back to it. As of right now I’m tinkering around in Game Maker Studio to see if it’s feasible to make a secondary version in that program for you all who’d want a combat experience closer to what Undertale is like (AKA the bullet dodging).

The Final primary area, which is being tiled “Plasmatic Factory” is being worked on… sorta. It’s not going as fast as I’d hoped due to one of the starring characters of area being a creation of my real life friend, thus meaning I need them around in order to work on the dialogue stuff for them. Luckily they’re my neighbor too so it’s not that bad, but I’m being patient and not rushing them to get anything relating to Fragile Hearts done, so I hope you guys don’t mind. But if it takes too long I may just go ahead and work on the maps and implement story later.

Now, onto the secondary topic of Jasper. After coming back to it, giving it some thought, I’ve realized a small problem.
As some of you may have noticed, Jasper is related another character introduced in the Snowy Update, Topaz.

Now here’s where the problems begin to come into play.
Jasper, is Topaz’s older brother.
And he certainly doesn’t look like an older brother now does he?
Now the easy solution would be just to make him look older right?
Well….
That’s where things get complicated, as I purposely redesigned him to look more like a kid than his age so that way Toriel would be more likely to mistake him for a certain someone else.
And now why is that a problem you may ask.
The answer is that is one of the two reasons she allowed you to leave with Jasper in the first place. Which is why the redesign happened in the first place.
Now before I give out the options, I just want to say yes, there is a reason why Jasper would have a kid’s body. It has to do with how Boss Monsters Age. But I don’t know if I have enough justification for that to work.

That’s why I come to you today.
Here are two versions of Jasper, the one on the left is one I whipped up today after coming to this conclusion (Not Final… possibly.). I’ve decided to leave the fate of his design in your hands.

I’ll leave this poll up for a bit, and decide based on the results of it. since I feel this is a lose/lose situation for story telling regardless.
