The game is still in development. I can't tell you when it will be finished but soon, and it's a promise.
Unfortunately, I would need a lot of time to spend working on this game and as much as I'd love to do that, there seems to be things in the way from doing this project. I'm currently too focused on work and other IRL stuff at home, and even though I have spare time on my day off, I'm just too exhausted to do it.
The good news is, it's nearly complete, but not quite close from being done. You see, I'm kind of stuck on making a working door, and I'm trying to make it as close to the original arcade but not too close, however the coding isn't the problem, it's the engine that I'm using that seems to run into this issue, while I am able to make the player pick up the key but it can't be used to place a marker on the map. It's complicated to explain how that works, but I hope that was easy enough for everyone to understand.
Then there's the amount of characters that I still need put into the game, I haven't had the time to make Druaga yet, I guess it's the result of trying to come up with an idea on how he's going to look, while I could use his 2D model from the original but then having to visualize how he would look in a 3D voxel-like model. I'm also planning on fixing or changing the "attack" animation for some of the characters, mainly the knights and probably Gilgamesh as well, I'm not saying I hate it, I just think it needs a slight patch is all. After that, I still got to make the rest of the monsters including Ropers and the Succubus.
Lastly, there's also the 50 other floors I still need to make, I have the base layout for them already, but it needs the walls and other assets that it's missing.
I'm the only person who works on this project, I don't have a team or don't have someone to give me advices. That's the difficult part about being an indie developer, but since I'm halfway from completing this project, I can safely say that I will pull through, eventually, I just gotta keep going. Thanks for understanding.
Thank you for your support and patience.
