It's been 10 years. It's... really left a mark on us, huh? I hope everyone's been shaped into a better person because of it.

This is gonna be a progress report about Golden Renewal, of course, but we're also gonna be making a tribute to UNDERTALE.

So...? Let's get right into the report.

Status Update on UT Yellow: Golden Renewal.

Since our last progress report, we've been... uh... hm. Let's just say the past 2 months have been quite slow. Though now we're getting pretty close to the end with some spriters finally coming back! (though we literally have to redo some sprites for continuity... )

So, let's see what we missed because of our slow progress... a couple progress reports, and... well, nothing else! We... really have been out of touch with you guys, huh?

Anyway, here's our progress since May on Golden Renewal:

• Updated attack sprites

• Redid Dalv's house

• Added text shadows

• Added gradients to colors to be more DELTARUNE-consistent.

• Fixed ACT messages only allowing for 1 message.

• Changed STATS to STAT for UNDERTALE consistency.

• Disabled most environmental shaders to fix the Red-Clover bug.

• Updated game over animation.

• Added small adjustments to textboxes

• Fixed an RPC crash when entering settings.

• Added grammar changes from UNDERTALE Yellow: 1.2

And at the moment, that's all! It's actually more than I personally thought, but hey! One step closer to release!

Tribute to Undertale

UNDERTALE. It's been 10 years. Here's some quotes from our team members after asking them what was the impact of UNDERTALE:

"I really didn't think UNDERTALE was for me, until I played it. This game will be forever sitting in my brain rent-free, and I'm fine with that. Thank you, Toby. For everything." -Mason

"Genuinely the best game that I had ever played around then. The fandom is something I might be in forever. Undertale is the best." -Spin

"UNDERTALE was a very important page on my life because, i was passing by a bad moment for bad and personal things, I made a very good friend, and met a lot of people who are important to me rn <33" -Melisa

None of the other team members made a comment, which could've been because of timezones and such, so I'm sure many more team members have memories of UNDERTALE, and will be editing this post over time with the memories of the team. Please, take time to remember all of the memories you had with UNDERTALE.

Advertising Plug

We're still gonna need more team members. We're simply too small to accomplish a lot of tasks quickly, BUT, we did add 2 new openings to the form, so you can now offer you help as a Digital Artist and / or a Promotional Artist! We, of course, still need our asked positions from the previous post, those being Spriters, Composers, and Coders. But, we also need one more, Digital Artists are now being requested! Being a Digital Artist doesn't entail much, but sometimes you will be asked to make digital art for progress reports like these. Thank you for supporting us, and we can't wait for all of you to see our work on the DARK RUINS!

Possible Release Date...?

So, I know I said no more release dates, but, I honestly truly do think we can do this. Golden Renewal might come out on November 10, 2025. It's specific, but I think you guys would like that. This is gonna be the last progress report before release, unless release comes after November 10, of course. Don't mark your calendars yet, however, it may come out before that! Though we're aiming for by that date. Here's what'll happen based on our progress:

• If we're at a stand-still by October's end, the release will be heavily delayed.

• If we're done with the game before October 25, we'll be changing the release date to that.

• If we're done past October 25 but before November 10, we'll still be releasing it by then.

• If we're done after November 10 but before November 20, we'll be releasing it at no previous notice, AKA, a suprise!!

Conclusion

Welp, that's another progress report done and released!

Overall, I'd say that we've made decent progress for Golden Renewal! Despite some of the difficulties we've faced, I'm very proud of all the work that the team has been able to do, and I'm very thankful to all the people who have continued to support us! We wouldn't be able to do any of this without you, so we really appreciate you all being here!
