v0.9.5 Released

v0.9.5 has been released! This update contains a great number of changes to the game, most of which were going to be in v0.9, but were cut due to me wanting to release the update near the anniversary of the CD-i games. This patch in particular features more sidequests, better graphics, and tweaks and bugfixes.

  • New sidequests:

    • Deepercutt wants you to kill a man in a very strange way. He’s located in Capital City.

    • Sort out a conflict between the humans of Tokodai and the Inklings of Inkopolis (quest is given in the former settlement)

    • Save Sho’nuff from Doctor Rabbit. Quest given in Hyrule in the all-new Sho’nuff Base.

    • Save Doctor Willie from Robotnik. Quest given by one of his confused patients (Evans) in his office in Chew York.

  • The game’s graphics have been revised, significantly.

    • Overworld sprites have been edited to look less like the ones used in the YouTube Poop World, and look more like their characters.

    • Face and battle sprites have also been improved, mainly to smooth out the outlines on some older faces/batsprites.

    • Icons have been given a look over, too. Buffs and debuffs now have their proper abbreviations, and some items have new icons. In addition, their outlines have been changed to not use the same color.

  • Started refactoring the game’s custom scripts into the main code. So far, ten have been removed, reducing them down to 61. (For those who don’t understand what refactoring is, I simplified the game’s code to make it run better.)

  • The two existing optional characters (CopperCab and the Hamburger Pimp) have been buffed in two ways - having a higher level, and having better gear.

  • Redid the Squadala Flights common event, mainly to get rid of that ugly dashed line.

  • Tweaked some early-game XP and gold stats.

  • Tweaked the difficulty of the bosses of Acts 12 to 15.

  • Quest log descriptions have been rewritten to be both clearer and written in-character as Link.

  • Various bug fixes and changes. They’re too minor to be listed here.

Go get it. I’ll see you when v1.0 comes out.

Quick Update 3: The Second One is about 90% done now. It's just finishing the last dungeon and bosses at this point, and then some minor tweaks I do before a release. It'll be released before Valentine's Day. Here's a pic to prove that I'm not lying!

Sudden MeenTC Update:

GZDoom has added support for FMV cutscenes in the newest version, 4.8.0. This bears great news for this TC, obviously!

Expect a new update in the coming weeks.

Been a while, huh? (Why are there quests now??)

Version 0.9.1 of MeenTC, The "I Remembered How To ACS Properly" Update, has been released! This update adds a working compass, dynamic battle music system, and more.

The changelog can be seen below...

Currently working on five massive maps that serve as the outside maps for Mind Warp. At 1/8 scale, with Kak. Village for reference. Whoever recognizes the game that I 'took' the maps from gets a point.

Version 0.9 of MeenTC (lovingly nicknamed "The (Kinda, Sorta) Cutscene Update") has been released! This update contains a small handful of FMV cutscenes, co-op support, accuracy improvements, and other small goodies.

The changelog can be seen below.

Quick update. Progress on the YTP Archives is going rather well now that I have the full version of the Vinesauce RPG. ETA January 2021.

New update for the Meen TC coming soon. Contains proper widescreen graphics and other minor things. Have a screenshot.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.
