v1.1.2 Hotfix - Black Screen Bug Fixed!


Hey guys,

Interesting story with this one, one bug bricks the entire game during October, giving everyone a black screen after the 39Games logo.
v1.1.2 of the game is now live and the bug should be gone now!

Oh you're still here? Guess you wanna know what happened eh? Aight, take a seat.

This bug has been in the game ever since the Xmas Update last year. I initially had thought about making some halloween content after I was working on the Xmas patch.
So I hoped to have had that ready this year but unfortunately the game was getting close to its limits since it is a 32bit application, so the halloween content would have started to cause some issues so I cancelled it.

So I made some code to load the Xmas content, I setup the game to launch then detect the month on your device so the xmas content could load, I also put an extra line of code in there for the upcoming halloween patch.
So October is here and its trying to load content that I had to cancel, giving ya'll a black screen. I forgot to snip that bit of code out but now its done!

So now, as off of this v1.1.2 hotfix:
- January to November now loads the original game.
- December loads the Christmas content.
- No more black screen in October.

So that's about it guys, sorry about that necessary bug!
The game is now fixed! Enjoy!

Also included here is the new wallpaper for the game, featuring the four idiotic friends, ready to save an imaginary world!

The upcoming Ventures update will feature overhauled pre-rendered cutscenes with new dialogue, alongside many other quality of life updates.
