Just an update on Kloks. I didn’t upload anything today, because the game is towards completion, and I want to give you the full game, without any more delays. Changelog at the end of the post
Plan for v1.0:
Leaderboards, Not sure if they’ll make it to v1.0, but I’ll try it.
Gamejolt Sessions, to record your gameplay on your profile.
Music & SFX. For music I’ll use an instrumental rock track I created in the past. For SFX, I’m thinking about it. :)
Make the game end when timer reaches 0 (oh, yeah, you can leave it for infinity, and it will be running)
Other thoughts:
I was thinking to use GameJolt’s data storage, for savegames etc, but it’s only two levels, and they’re not long. Maybe in the future, if I decide to do more levels (and that depends on you.)
Changelog v0.2.130813 (not published, includes changelogs for v0.0.130813 & v0.1.130813):
Added Coins. Each coin gives you an extra 25 points.
Removed some snails. After consideration & some feedback of yours I have removed some snails. But not from where you suggested. ^_^
Changed initial time from 300 seconds to 100 seconds. It’s more than enough for the first level. The second level will have time extenders.
So far, no guns, speed boosters, new enemies, boss fights or flight ability. Maybe in the future.
Changed the viewable area to a widescreen resolution (from 800x600 to 960x540). May result into some problems, but I’ll fix them.
Changed the way the teleporting from the doors to the destination was handled.
Changed the way of handling the “fell out of level” respawn.
Level 2 is almost complete. Thinking to add an extra trophy for completing it (a gold one maybe?)
Rearranged the pause menu info.
I’ll give you some screenshots with the new stuff soon. Estimated day to release v1.0 is 19/08/2013. Hope I’ll make it sooner, rather than later.
