v3.3.0 Generator Update


As some of you may expect

This update will entirely change general aspects of the generator, bringing up new content and variety for each level! (And glitched seeds too)

-- Additions --

  • Added warning screen

  • Added lockers to the third variant of faculty

  • Superintendent and Principal now uses a different wandering system to not be stuck in one region of the school

-- Improvements/Adjustments --

  • General Improvement in hallway generation such as adding new variety

  • F3s now have more crazy layouts compared to the other floors, which means, more variety

  • Generated Hallways will now force connect to big rooms if close enough

  • Removed the old function from bigrooms to spawn extra doors

  • Rooms will now spawn as null rooms and then be assigned by the generator (Glitched Seeds are now a thing, and you can find one yourself!)

  • Rooms are more likely to spawn connecting now

  • Removed rooms respawn function

  • Removed the preventing-crash function

  • Big Rooms can now spawn in varied sizes in both axis

  • Increased the level border, so rooms can now properly spawn on their default sizes

  • Changed generation order once again, now elevators can spawn on generated hallways too

  • Elevators will now only spawn if the hallway is actually suitable instead of force-spawning

  • Maximum of Extra Faculties now have a pre-defined value in each floor

  • Increased playground min/max size in F1

  • First variant of faculty have a small chance to spawn a third item

  • Third variant of faculty will now spawn the long table in random spots

  • Classrooms are limited to spawn only one item

  • Plots can now overlap the sides of bigrooms regardless of the entrances (entrances spawn after plot gen from now on)

  • Library Mazes now generates after assigning the rooms (decoration phase)

  • Mystery Rooms now shows up in the map when discovered or with full map (you don't have to wait for the event to begin anymore)

  • 2 library items will now always force generate in dead ends

  • Elevators won't spawn within bigroom anymore, instead, they will spawn only in the elevator spawning phase

  • Elevators won't be forced to spawn inside bigrooms anymore

  • Chairs now have random offsets

  • Playtime will now always turn around if missing the player (note that she will only turn after aligning with the tile)

  • Baldi won't have a dynamically ruler delay anymore, it's now based on the needed notebooks to that floor (which means glitched seeds won't change his speed rate)

  • Elevators will ignore each other now (which means you can find rare seeds with 2 elevators facing each other, or spawning besides it's usual limit)

  • 1st Prize now controls it's speed when aligning with a tile (instead of the unstable way)

  • Improved once again NPC's avoiding system

  • Decreased the sizes of F1 and F2 and END

  • Chalkles will now ignore you if you're using the faculty nametag

-- Bug Fixes --

  • Fixed a glitch that rarely field trip rooms could spawn "inside" the map just like normal rooms

  • Rooms won't try to spawn in unsuitable plots anymore

  • Fixed a glitch that was causing some alone tiles to be generated in the plots generation (affecting hallway generation perfomance)

  • Fixed an error that was causing elevators to fail spawning in some spots

  • Fixed a critical glitch that was preventing big rooms from spawning in corners

  • Fixed a glitch which rooms could spawn connecting inside other rooms connections

  • Fixed a glitch which was making plots still spawn below their minimum sizes (creating small unnecessary gaps)

  • Fixed a visual glitch which NPCs would flicker for a second when avoiding obstacles (in open-tiles)

  • NPCs won't be able to see through gaps anymore

  • Fixed another issue with events when pausing the game

  • Removed scanning function due to the generator now force connect any hallway

  • Fixed a glitch that plants rarely could spawn inside lockers

  • Decreased plants Y offset to not touch walls below them

  • Fixed roto-halls spawning with wrong data (NPCs were stepping in the wrong direction while inside of it)

You also may be wondering how to get these glitched seeds, well, here's a tip: find a seed with a huge playground in the corner, these seeds have the highest chances of being glitched If you want to find one right now, just spam F1 with random seeds, soon you'll get your own

Added a new tool called generator viewer! With it, you can explore every seed by yourself without the need of gameplay, if you're curious about the generator, just look up at it and find out why some seed have such a different generation
