Version 0.0.1 released!


The first update of Oakshade Acres is here and it's

............ *drum rolls*.................

pretty underwhelming . The game is still in early prototype, so it's not a playable game yet, but by Gods am I working on it. The game development is quite long process you know.

List of update notes:

  • Menu & options has been added.

  • Fishing prototype added - you can catch 3 types of fish and do basically nothing with them.

  • Early version of notebook added - currently it tracks fishes you have caught.

  • Home map redesigned.

  • New resource added - quartz.

  • Some graphics were updated.

  • New audio added.

  • Bug fixes.

  • Various tweaks.

What's next:

For upcoming updates I want to add saving and loading, new things to craft, a couple of new areas, with re-spawning resources and a shop, where you could by new crafting recipes as well as sell items. With these additions the game could be finally called a DEMO (a tiny one) rather than a prototype.

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
