Overview

It took me almost a month, but I finally finished Version 0.2! I made a lot of additions and adjustments, will I will summarize here really quick:

• Added a Manual for the basic commands

• Character Creation

• Made some changes to graphics to make them more readable

• Mail System

• New phone puzzle

• 2 new Image-based puzzles

• 9 new console puzzles

• More secrets and eastereggs

The Manual

The Manual comes in the form of a little computer. If the player starts the game and has no Idea what to do he might start up the Manual. In order to use it he has to solve a little puzzle like this:

Once the puzzle is solved the player can have a look at the different commands that will help him progress.

Character Creation

The “Character Creation” is a form in which you set a few preferences for your character. These preferences will come up later on in the mails you will be getting and they will in a way direct the story.

Mail System

The mail system basically serves as the tool for storytelling in the game. As the player progresses he will get more and more emails. Using a the command ‘mail.exe’ the player can see which emails he recieved. There is also an indicator for whether he has read them [R] or not [U].

As the game progresses the mail will get more important.

Phone Puzzle

The phone puzzle is basically just a number pad in which you have to enter the right 12 digit number and press call. I think this is a very nicely reusable puzzle and a great place to hide eastereggs ;)

More Puzzles

I don’t want to go into too much detail about the puzzles, but there is a wide variety of topic around which they revolve. Ranging from video games, over physics, to chemistry. Good thing Google exists!
