Version 0.7.0 - Out Now!


Highlights:

  • Two new classes: Artificer and Rogue.

  • Key rebinds.

  • Quality of life overhaul.

  • Extensive balance and changes.

Options:

  • Added the ability to change the game’s controls. If you cannot move in game, go to options to reset the keybinds.

  • Added a volume slider and the ability to disable music.

  • Added the “half” screenshake option.

  • Added the option to use alternative class icons.

  • Added vsync settings. Turn it on if the game looks choppy.

  • The FPS counter can now be toggled on or off.

  • You can now hide boss health bars.

Gameplay

  • Shielder: Shield size increased, pistol nerfed slightly (ammo from 21 to 16, projectile velocity reduced, accuracy reduced). Gains immunity to hazards.

  • Pointman: On-hit chrono regen increased at higher chrono upgrades.

  • Rusher: On-hit heat recovery increased overall. Specialist ability also grants heat refresh.

  • Sniper: Specialist ability can clear projectiles.

  • Heavy: Walls take only 1 dash to break and can be broken gradually without dashing. Now destroys drones on contact. Specialist ability shoots faster and consumes less energy.

  • Grenadier: Base explosion size increased to 1.5x, max explosion size increased to 2.25x (2.4x with Artificer). Projectile now does 60 base damage on impact.

  • Medic: Each loops increases heal threshold by 1. Healing increases by 1 every 3 loops. Specialist ability changed.

  • Ranger: Damage scaling increased from 6 to 10. Max damage increased from 360 to 480 (552 with Artificer). No longer affected by the Trigger Discipline challenge.

  • Max upgrade levels reduced from 120 to 100.

  • Cooldown Orbs are replaced with Health Orbs, which still refreshes heat on top of healing you. They can be dropped by big enemies in non-boss levels if your health is low.

  • Heat cooldown rate is now consistent across all thermal upgrade levels.

  • World 3 mines are now opaque and can be triggered during chrono.

  • White Death gains a new attack if you get too close.

  • Subjugator can now spawn on either side.

  • Added optional voiceover in the tutorial.

  • Added Expert Mode. Right click on New Game to try it out. Currently it starts you at loop 1 with -5 to all upgrades and sets your shekels to -5.000.

  • New BGM plays in post-loop levels.

  • The game now shows which loop you’re at in the level.

  • Your personal best Risk score is saved.

  • Turning on GFX to High now enables a CRT filter.

  • Added various sound effects.

  • Multiple bug fixes.

  • Added more bugs to fix later.

UI

  • Various tweaks made to the HUD.

  • Challenges and assists are hidden in the menu which can be shown by pressing Space.

  • Bosses have revamped title cards.
