Bug Fixes:
-BGM no longer cuts out in 2 player mode when a player dies
Other Tweaks:
-The death animation is now much faster
-All enemies in 2 player mode now have more hit points
-The strawberries are now much harder to defeat

This may be somewhat surprising, but I actually draw every INSECTILE in high resolution!
The pixel-y effect is applied AFTER the creatures (and set pieces) in my game are fully drawn for an extra cute retro punch!

Just make it exist first - You can make it good later.
Stick is one of my favorite effects in INSECTILE because of how it lets you bypass these caterpillar guys' little stingers. It's also super satisfying that all the damage pops at once!
I've been doing game backgrounds for 8 years (time flies) and I think my polish work on INSECTILE has been some of the most satisfying yet.
