VERSION 1.1.0 - GRIKE STRIKES BACK - NOW AVAILABLE


Version 1.1.0 is now live! This is the first MAJOR patch since release, adding more robust custom guard support along with various quality of life improvements, balance changes and bug fixes.

A download for Grike, the template for these new more robust custom guards, is available to download under the game package. Some features new to these updated custom guards include:

- The ability to customize just about any guard-specific dialogue in the game, including in salvage locations and parking lot cutscenes

- The ability to import custom mask sprites for your guard

- The ability to import custom music for the guard's intro, game over and 6 AM themes

- The ability to set a custom height for your guard, which effects your view in the salvage locations

(NOTE: If you have a bunch of custom guards from before this patch that don't have these features, don't worry! They'll all still work perfectly fine on this new build. Your save data from the previous build will also carry over, but that's always been the case.)

Check Grike's README files for more information on what you can do with these new features! Grike's template ALSO includes the backgrounds for the endscreens and other assets that should make the creation process of your guard's assets a lot easier. (And if writing all new dialogue for your guard is too overwhelming, but you want to still include the other new features like custom music or custom masks, you can just not include the dialogue files in your guard's download and everything should still work fine.)

As for everything else...

BALANCE CHANGES AND QoL IMPROVEMENTS:

- The custom night menu now has a music selector! You can use this to play any of the custom night themes, as well as any of the night themes and the themes for any boss fights that you've beaten.

- The boss refight menu now allows you to pick your night guard, much like the custom night menu.

- Rebalanced animatronic salvage values. On average, salvage values have increased by roughly 20-25%. (This is mostly to make up for the scrap animatronics giving half as much money now.)

- De-anonymized the unlock conditions for a few trophies.

- Added a sound cue to Foxy's rage mode. (This is when he repeatedly bashes the door after the cameras have gone unused for too long)

- Toy Chica's cupcake will no longer spawn in its rightmost position if Mr. Hippo is in the office.

- Increased the volume of Plushtrap's audio cue. Also reduced the amount of time it takes for him to jumpscare you when flashing the wrong hallway.

- Gave BB and Bon-Bon death screen tips.

- Slightly changed Funtime Freddy's sprites so you can tell if Bon-Bon is with him even if obstructed by another animatronic's sprite.

- The evil route boss's opening dialogue has been changed for certain night guards.

- The extras menu statistics menu will now only display "Lunatic" as a difficulty setting after it has been unlocked.

- The Luigi template has been updated to include the new mask and file-holding sprites, as well as new minigame sprites that include all four available colors in the palette as opposed to the three it had before.

BUG FIXES:

- Fixed a layering issue with Funtime Foxy's cutout appearing behind Popgoes on cam 2.

- Fixed a bug where Mr. Hippo would continue talking if deleted by a King's Prize.

- Fixed a bug where deathcoining Candy would not stop his ticking sound cue from playing.

- Fixed a bug where mimicked King's Prizes could be purchased even when a King's Prize is already active.

- Fixed a bug where the Laser Doors wouldn't stop the evil route boss if they were deployed while he's in the doorway.

- Fixed a bug where the AR Mask would disable the mask temporarily after running out.

- Fixed a bug where custom guards' sprites would not appear properly at the beginning of the good route boss.

- Fixed a bug where one of the final boss's sound cues wouldn't stop even after an attack was blocked.

- Fixed a bug where the four scrap animatronics would give twice as much money as they're supposed to.

- Fixed a bug where being in debt would prevent you from exiting out of the upgrade shop.

- Fixed a bug where buying every single possible upgrade would crash the game.

- Fixed a bug where dropping an evil or good route on night 5 would erroneously send you down the money route.

- Tweaked Upgrade Cadet's dialogue when refusing to give him the gift box in the final salvage location.

- Fixed a bug where custom night themes E and F wouldn't play regardless of the amount of active animatronics.

- Fixed a bug where the extras menu music would be set way too loud after switching away from a certain animatronic's page.

- Fixed a bug where custom night cheats would carry over into the boss refight menu.

- HOPEFULLY fixed a bug where endings would be counted incorrectly after the post-credits scene.

- Added improved error handling for corrupted save data and incorrectly formatted custom guard files.

- Corrected various typos throughout the game's dialogue. (These may have been missed in Grike's dialogue, however.)
