Hello all, Kaidarus here again to bring you some more news! This time, here are some patches for FNaTAS 2R and 3R.
Keep in mind that unlike 1R these aren't deluxe versions of the games, only simple patches like the ones they got back when they were released, just on a bigger scale than usual.
Remember the huge V1.1 patch 4R got a week after its release? Well, this is in the same vain as that, just... waaaay later than it could have been. But better late than never I suppose!
With that out of the way, let's get to the fixes and changes!
2R:
- Withered Jaiden and Fegel Puppet no longer attack once per night
- The withereds can no longer kill you while you're wearing the mask, for no more unfair deaths
- Withered Jake can no longer kill you while you're flashing him
- Fixed the non-presets custom nights never ending
- Fixed the character's kill and movement timers becoming inconsistent in Night 6 and the Custom Night under certain circumstances
- Fixed some middle hallway sprites for Plastic Mallie and Pre-SpringGirl never properly showing up (also fixed Hang Girl's animation on it)
- Fixed some character sprites in the cameras never showing up along with some layering issues
- Fixed Plastic Leopold forever sticking to only one of his paths for the rest of the night
- Fixed Hang Girl's noises never playing if the cameras haven't been raised even once in the night
- Heavily reworked the death minigames so that their obtainment isn't up to pure luck. If you die in the Custom Night and you don't currently have the minigame star, then a minigame you have not yet obtained is 100% guaranteed to show up.
- The characters now have more accurate AI levels in the Custom Night, for the most part (though they may still be a bit wonky at times due to the way they were coded)
- Withered Jake now takes priority over any other character. Instead of him leaving when someone enters the office, the others will instead wait for him to leave the hallway.
- Small mechanic change for Fegel Puppet: for lore™ reasons, he now acts like the Plastic animatronics, meaning he will kill you if you're wearing the mask. He was also given a center hallway sprite
- The vent lights now take up some flashlight battery when used
- Rebalanced Night 6 to be more fast paced, and Pre-SpringGirl now switches between her "passive" and "aggressive" modes more often
- Added a cutscene viewer to the extras
- The perspective effect during gameplay is now smoother
- Inverted the order of the CN challenges, and 20 mode is no longer automatically activated when you enter the CN menu
- Hang Girl now has her black eye in her CN icon like she does pretty much everywhere else in the game
- You can now hold down the character arrows in the custom night to automatically change each level without the need to spam click
- Golden Leopold is no longer the only character that shows up in the menu after 100%ing the game, and the menu stars were also given the flickering they have in 1R and 3R
- Reduced file size
3R:
- Fixed SpringGirl's hallway running animations only appearing once per night
- Fixed Phantom Hang Girl's animation when appearing in the office only properly playing once per night
- Fixed Phantom Jaiden and Phantom Fegel Puppet being able to appear during Night 6's ending
- Fixed a very specific glitch where, if you deleted your save file while Hard Mode is active, you would still be in hard mode afterwards with no way of returning to normal mode until completing the main game
- Reworked the toxic seals; they now turn off after 5 seconds or so if no gas is coming through them
- The office phantoms can no longer forcefully spawn when an alert is happening. This is because most of the time it would cause you to be jumpscared very unfairly
- Removed "that one dev key" (if you know you know)
- Phantom Fegel Puppet is no longer capable of jumpscaring you if you're shutting a toxic seal or repairing something in the panel, as he was way too unpredictable. He can still show up, but can't jumpscare you until you're done
- Buffed Phantom Harold's jumpscare timer to be a second and a half, as he was barely a threat beforehand
- Phantom Harold is now able to appear when opening the cameras, not just when switching between them
- Phantom Harold now has proper AI levels in the Custom Night
- SpringGirl is now slightly faster in the Custom Night, and her AI levels in the FNaTAS 1 and 2 challenges have been increased as she was merely at 5
- Rebalanced SpringGirl's anger timer (aka when she breaks your equipment after not looking at her) in the Custom Night, it is now dependant on her AI level
- SpringGirl's anger timer no longer resets after she reaches either door, to avoid exploits in the harder difficulties
- Fixed the visual goof in the ending cutscene where you could see two Golden Leopold heads at the same time
- Inverted the order of the CN challenges, and 20 mode is no longer automatically activated when you enter the CN menu
- In the Custom Night menu, the challenge stars were moved to the right of the screen, to make space for the "all to 20" and "restore" buttons
- You can now hold down the character arrows in the custom night to automatically change each level without the need to spam click
- You can now skip the Police Station cutscene after Night 1 by pressing S
-The Night 1 phone call is now the full version of it that was used in the demo, instead of the "final" one that had a big cut in between
- Reverted the way Fullscreen is activated to be more consistent with the other games
- Reduced file size
Both games are also in proper 4:3 when in fullscreen instead of stretched to fit the screen, have an easier to control scrolling, and come unpacked in case they're detected as false positives.
There's probably some small details I may have forgotten about, but I believe these should be the most important ones.
For the sake of convenience, these patches will stay as separate downloads, so don't worry about having to download the whole 2 gigabytes package if you already had it.
That is all- I hope even with their flaws these new patches make the games at least slightly more enjoyable :)
