Version 1.6.0 (or 1.5.2 idk)


Not sure if this update's changes are truly big enough to warrant it being 1.6.0, but we're going with it anyway, since I was delaying this release over a debate on the version number, which is somewhat ridiculous in some ways.

Known Issues

  • When fleeing from battle, the sprites for Callie and Chrono aren't all the same, which leads to some minor oddities that can be observed when the flee attempt fails. Not really a major problem of any kind, so unsure if/when this will be fixed.

To Do List

(before my due date)

  • Make the cutscenes for post-Lucy and post-Werewolf.

  • Make the cutscenes for the final boss.

  • Give the final boss a custom sprite (have felt too lazy to open Photoshop for keying :P).

  • Make the final boss a bit more interesting...which I have some ideas for...

  • Continue balancing the game (as always).

  • Complete any additional polishing I have time for.

  • Possibly give the maps for Mechanical March, Demonic Domain, and Slithering Shadows a visual upgrade, but only if I think I have enough time to do so.

Changelog

  • Added a Level Cap to the party. Once they hit Level 10, they can no longer level up.

  • Changed Skeletons so their heightened chance of dodging attacks only works on physical attacks.

  • Slightly adjusted the pre-Lucy cutscene.

  • Fixed the textbox types being inconsistent in the Safe Zone.

  • Made the Bind status effect last slightly longer.

  • Made the Stimulant actually heal for as much as it should, I think.

  • Did some more shifting of boss HP. Need to keep testing to refine it...

  • Made the final tier of equipment a little cheaper.

  • Slightly changed the MP costs of the party's skills.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Axel's Tendril Wrap not lowering the enemy's Agility as intended. Now it should make bosses a bit easier if you use it well.

  • Fixed a bug that randomly started happening where leaving Demonic Domain, specifically after beating any other boss, resulted in its timer not pausing when going to the Safe Zone. Honestly, not sure as to why it started happening, but it shouldn't happen anymore.

Next up

Uploading a 1.0.2 to fix an oversight when making the event boxes for Demonic Domain. My bad :P

Also adding a failsafe so the player doesn't potentially become softlocked at the end of Demonic Domain.

If you see Version 1.0.2, you should be good to go.
