This game was initially intended to be a direct reboot of Berry's, but I never felt satisfied with that approach because there were characters, particularly Merry, that I no longer wanted in the game. Additionally, I wasn't happy with the names of the characters. Shifting the focus to Ramiz seems like a better overall approach to the series, as I can now tell the story more effectively, and I've grown to appreciate the new characters much more.
However, the character models are undergoing another round of remakes to further improve the style. From this, I believe the game now looks significantly better than before. This constant desire for improvement and refinement might have contributed to a slowdown in progress, but I can confidently say that the game is now moving in the right direction!
