Hi, it's me, Lottie, the person behind Sil Games.
Recently, there has been a lot of drama surrounding the recent banning of Beethovenus' Discord account and how ignorant support can be. There's been another tragedy within the community fairly recently, and that is flamesatgames' account mysteriously vanishing. For those who don't know, flamesatgames is the original creator of UNDERTALE: Disbelief.
I can't say for certain that these events are connected, but at the moment, every UNDERTALE/DELTARUNE fangame creator is at risk.
The banning of Beethovenus was the result of homophobic teenagers mass-reporting Beethovenus' Discord account. Luckily though, he still has his YouTube and Twitter, but he has been trying for over a month now to get his account back, all without success. Any sign of hope that Beethovenus has received, both from Discord's CTO "checking on it" and from fans, is currently all for nothing, as so far nothing has actually been resolved.
So why does this affect everyone? Well, allegedly, the people involved are planning to attack other creators which could put a lot more projects at risk, which includes some more popular projects - DELTATRAVELER, UNDERTALE Yellow and even mine, UNDERCREATOR.
If this false ban and support ignorance can happen to Beethovenus, this can happen to anyone, and getting any form of human support these days is almost impossible due to mass AI moderation and lack of human interference. I will make my say that if there is no human input behind any actions taken, said service does not deserve any of your payments as there is no evidence of a human being doing any of the work.
We really live in a world where people think it's acceptable to mass-report and trigger an automated response, or to not look into why or how said incident occurred, all because their system is heavily reliant on artificial intelligence and not the admins/moderators who run the site.
This needs to stop.
We need to get together and show our support to those who don't have an easy a time as us when they're dealing with their problems, of which they're simply not at fault for. It's disgraceful how one creator can just be ignored after being told that their case was being looked into, with no further updates or replies about their current status.
I will also say that mass-reporting should be a bannable offense. Just because you dislike someone doesn't mean you can make their lives hell by banning them falsely. If you do this, you're no better than the person you hate.
