Battle Endings:
As you probably know if you’re a hardcore Street Fighter II faithful, there are special victory quotes by the player’s opponent that are displayed whenever a match is won or lost. We have a special nostalgic nod in the works for these moments: maybe a set of certain dialogue lines; maybe a specifically accented accompanying piece of vocal work? Eh? Eh?
Continue Countdowns:
We decided we’d be nice and not allow the countdown timer on the Continue screen to have been accelerated when a player clicks upon the wrong part of the screen, since the entire display is unmarked. Instead, to make sure that everyone who plays our title can properly enjoy it; as the timer counts down, complete with a near perfect reproduction of that, “DeDing,” sound that plays whenever the digit on the right changes; the current Story Driver character’ll be displayed on the left, slowly fading away as time ticks away. All you’ll need to do is to click on said fighter before you’re issued a “GAME OVER” and must restart from the beginning.
So, Yes.
We know that our last post was kind of vague, since we didn’t actually explain which exact part of the game engine we were developing; and for that, we majorly apologize. But hey, look on the bright side: now you know!
