We're kinda so back? (Said noone besides me.)

(2025 recap post, better get ready to read.)


So, what can I say about the year Two-Thousand and Twenty-Five...?
Wait I already did that intro- whatever, let's get a move on.

To properly explain how this year has been for me I do have to first explain my life situation, don't worry, it's nothing bad, quite the opposite sorta.

I live in a privileged position that's rare to come by at this point in humanity's existence called 'I Don't Have Anything Particularly Notable Happening In My Life Ever, Neither Good or Bad', as the personal reasons for being not great that I briefly mentioned / glossed over on last years post are far gone by now, and I now have quite a bit more time on my hands year-round, so other than the perpetual existential dread that's contractually thrust upon me by being alive in the mid 2020's, things have been overall pretty alright, as much as I feel kinda bad about being one out of only a couple people to be okay enough as of late.

And 2025 in the creation side of things? Frankly it's been great! With this previously mentioned higher amount of free time I've been the single most active and productive I've been yet, and I am really proud of.., well, almost everything I've made this year.

But regardless, I can with certainty say that last years singular, simple new years resolution of 'get at least one something out' has been thoroughly completed. Now, how about we get to some of these somethings, eh? In actual chronological order this time.


ADITWAA Prom AU:

After spending January and February mostly sitting around, making character refs for Art Fight (which we will get to) we first arrive at the first major project of the year, Prom AU!

This was frankly a really fun thought experiment in character redesigning and in coming up with character personalities that are more than a word long, and I will be forever charmed by these 7 idiots-

-These doodle pages and comic making especially quick work on convincing myself to love the everloving hell out of these goobers, and while I did mostly leave them alone after making the master-post, I wouldn't be too upset in maybe sprinkling a couple drawings of them later on in this upcoming year, as this page is sorely lacking some OC art, though don't count on it.

Note the wording, OC art, as you see, I can't deny that I felt a little guilty of just yoinking someone else's characters and completely changing them until they were mine, so what am I gonna do? Completely change them until they are mine, these gays are getting hit with the OC beam, hard.

Currently there's only these 2 out of 7 (8?) designs done, but I'm sure you can gather just how I intend to near-completely remove them from their original context, and while I'm not quite sure when I'll sit back down and work on drawing more OCs again, I promise at some point you are gonna see this whole friend group rebranded, and, again, possibly more beyond that.

Now, if you already liked these guys from before, you need not worry, as everything but their designs and names will stay all intact... besides adding just a bit of yuri into the equation who said that-

One Night at Freddy's Pizza Kamified

Next up, we reach Maypril fools with ONaFP Kamified!!1!

I won't be getting too into detail of what making this game was like for me as you can already read it up on here, but I don't think it can be understated how much of a personal accomplishment it was for me to have released this game.

A year and four months, 16 damn months of not getting anything out, and this game broke that in just 1. I had never worked that fast for that long and ended up with something of actual quality.

Several years of perpetual procrastination on bigger projects, gamepages ending up as empty promises, only ever releasing lackluster games on Scratch made in less than a week, most less than a day, and now I have something to be proud of, now I know I can make games, actually. I may admittedly be one to understate how much of a major stepping stone this game is for me, but, yeah no, it is simply undeniable that this is a very important game for me.

Fucking One Night at Freddy's Pizza. Important. Crazy.


Coming Back to Frankie's: Sinking Grave

...And man, Kamified must've set me into overdrive, as before the damn month even finished, I released another game. And frankly, you can tell.

Sinking Grave was made in 4 days.

While this does show my spontaneous ability to actually make games is working full force, also at the same time, like.., bro..,,,

Over all, I have conflicted thoughts on this game, it's world is very interesting and I wanna expand on it, the graphics and especially designs are really cool (if we ignore the chromatic aberration), but man this game is so painfully unfinished, and while I do understand it was a gamejam submission started late, still, eh..,

I want to at some point come back (haahhahahahha) to this game, rebuild it from the ground up with better feeling and more interesting gameplay, making it a better love letter to TRTF than 'oh balloon boy is there I guess' and properly telling the story I badly wanted to tell.

But hey! The game still won the jam anyway, which I frankly think still has yet to register in my mind, but that's cool!... being said, this means that I've won the bet I made with myself that if the game won the jam I'd have to add a... rather specific, unrelated character to the game as a secret bossfight for the overhaul update, so... look forward to that whenever I bother. x ‿ x


Art Fight (again)

As that time of the year hit once more, the Fight of Art commenced!

This year, while statistically having less of an output than even last year, was frankly so cool. I have grown a lot as an artist this year, and I am so, so proud of most of these attacks I've made, not to toot my own horn, but these are so cool, I love making people happy with the stuff I make..,

That being said, though.., man, I'm definitely gonna have to change my strategy of attack for next year, because making 19 complete fullscreen drawings completely obliterated me for a long while there, oof.

Also, while most don't have a Gamejolt and won't ever see this probably, major shoutout to all the wonderful people that attacked me back!

My Favorite, Five Nati Slop!

Skimming past a couple months of just sitting around and drawing, as well as a project that won't ever become anything and only a couple people have even seen, we've reached the final something of the year, and while it's one yet to release, I figured I should still talk about it anyway.

MF,FNS has been really fun to work on so far, a silly love letter to one of my longest running interests in the FNaF fangame space!

Though, I must admit, I've been getting a bit burnt out because of it, while yes, now I actually have the capacity to stick around to develop a project, and I am really quick when I am locked in to do so, I am also not used to working for as long as I have at the pace that I have, even if it's only been 2 months, as my perception of time is all out of whack, especially now.

I am metaphorically speaking, out of breath from running this fast.

That being said, even if this may be the start of me taking a longer break from working on this game, I am determined to finish it, even if it means slightly downsizing some of its most ambitious components. You will get The Slop.


Now, we've come to the end.

In retrospect as I'm typing this now, last year's recap post feels minuscule compared to this one, even ignoring this one's images taking up a significant amount of space.

So, what are my plans for 2026?

Get Five Nati Slop out hopefully, finish the game I was working on in secret before it and get that out too, then I'll see what comes after, but one thing is for certain: I'm not done, believe me. This is only the beginning, even if I'm not sure how long I'll keep having this level of free time I currently have, there will be more, things are only starting to get good.

Lastly, I wanna rectify the sentiment I left off on last year's post, while it may have been right to expect the worst out of this year for multiple reasons, I refuse to keep those spirits going into 2026. Yes, things will be bad, I don't doubt that for a second, and while what I'm gonna say next you've likely heard and or read a million times, I implore you...

Keep going. Be stubborn, live only out of spite, to outlive the ones that piss you off if you have to, but please, things can only get so bad, we can only hope.

...Anyway, uh- happy new year and shit! Yeah! I gotta go drink some water or something after that, wow, chair in spanish, bye!

Next up

"Kept you waiting, huh?" - Rigid Cobra or something like that. Figured that since it is THE Five Nati day I might as well make another one of these, especially considering the progress made since the last one.

Frankly, I've been sitting on my ass doing nothing for the past few days. Max mode rn feels a bit too simple. Meanwhile, I have fully implemented the ability to actually die, so here's a showcase of Disembodied's 'jumpscare' and the game over screen.

I've made a lot of touch ups to the current suits' AIs and now the game is a lot less painfully boring, more tangible progress should be coming soon. (Added game over tips for the hell of it, say hi to The Rat.)
