Lots of new progress now…
A reboot on multiplayer and how it’s done
Starting from the ground up, we are redesigning the way the game does networking. Not only will you get to battle cross platform, but you’ll be able to join splitscreen games, making this the ultimate LAN party game.Support ALL controllers
We’re going nutz trying to make every popular controller just work. There are no promises here, but with the current goals of this being the ultimate LAN party game, we don’t want anything holding you back from plugging all your controllers in - even if you can’t afford the really nice ones, at least you’ll know they’ll work.A brand new physics engine and tire slip model
Yes, we finally figured out how to make a nice drift model that doesn’t interfere with all the other driving mechanics. Besides a better slip model, there is nicer suspension, more dramatic car crashes, and greater efficiency and flexibility for more game modes.New direction for multiplayer
As much as we enjoy the simple races, we’re looking more into stunt, obstacle, and battle modes. However, we’re still debating on what ideas are the funnest and how to mix these aspects together. So, it may not be a typical battle, stunt, or obstacle mode. It might be all three combined for all we know.
