We will make Datastar 2000 in the unreal engine.

We had one made a playable build of Datastar, but we hit a brick wall when we were implementing back the previous mechanics. Then we had tried to make Datastar 2000 in UPBGE, and we have made a decision. After some experience with Unreal, making Exploration 37, we will go at using Unreal Again.

Pros

  • We don’t have to rebuild the mechanics for each level.

  • Better workflow

  • Doesn’t Glitch up with a second monitor of a different resolution.

  • Looks flawless

Challenges

  • We will have to work hard to recreate the BGE Exploits that we took advantage of.

I spend 1 year and a half working on a puzzle in the Unreal Engine. It is a prequel to my first game Datastar. https://gamejolt.com/games/Datastar2k/395930

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Strange Umbrella

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Made my first ever animation.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

It's old and it glows. Experience the nostalgic tile-matching puzzle game in it's new glory!
