Week 2 progress on Smashed. I've also asked ChatGPT for some alternative names - it's really quite helpful

This week has been quite productive, fixing a few things and adding a little bit of polish. This weeks changes...

  • Fixed the remaining Tweens

  • Updated the lightning effect. It was originally an animation of four lightning images randomly flipping which didn't look good. Now, I've added a lightning effect which creates particle emitters along a line. There are waypoints along the line to add a slight random direction element. More to do, but its a start. Check out the gif

  • Creating a wall when 2 wall tiles are pushed together now builds the wall as an animation instead of just adding the wall to the playfield. This could definitely do with a sound effect though.

Latest progress update for Smashed polish

So

i may or may not make an full art of some person or i may just leave this like that-

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

I was bored, so... ManutKat.

What you all think

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
