Weekly Roundup - 07/07(+1)/2023 - Goat some new colors

Goat Lewds Progress

Saving the beginning and the climax for last, as always! This week I started working on the intro/tease!

We also worked on the goat’s design for a bit. I wanted to start working on the animation as early as possible, so the colors I am using at the moment are the ones I lifted from the bear. Since we don’t want two white furred enemies in the same area, we tried out a few different colors.

Here are some sketches from the character design process:

In the first rough step we threw a bunch of colors at him as flats and looked at the results in front of the different background art for the planet, to make sure they work well together.

Then Null took one of the colors we both liked and added a few more details, such as patterns, and trying out different eye shapes.

Kobold City Ruins Level Design

With the goat lewds coming together and the attack patterns pretty much done, we started work on a couple of new stages. Our goal for this is to bring the Kobold City Ruins gauntlet. We’re currently in the greyboxing stage of this part.

We also received a couple of new assets from Fabian:

Haven Progress

We started working on the backgrounds and details for the Haven area:

Since the Gardeners are a race of life-loving terraformers, we really want to push water, life and plants on the station. One way we’ll do this is by applying biophilic environment designs, putting plants everywhere.
