By default, the score counter will be hidden during the game, its place will be taken by the counters of rings and lives. When the character passes the Signpost, opens the level result screen for calculating bonuses for time and rings, an score counter will appear in the hud and the game score will be added the total score received for the level.

Right now, I have 6 design options for the pop-up menu. You can see it by clicking on the restart or exit buttons in the pause menu. But it can also be used for other purposes, example, for in-game notifications, an auto-save warning, etc.
