A few days back, I made this post:
https://gamejolt.com/p/an-interesting-comment-i-got-vuhuvxst
It had to do with this person who made a comment on my post where I said that I don't support lgbtq and consider homosexuality unnatural...
Before you jump on me because of that aswell, here's another post. So that you may either understand or hate me even more.
https://gamejolt.com/p/what-the-heck-u8hhcybh
Read it fully, because half knowledge can be more dangerous at times...
Anyways, you see the screenshots?
Apparently, the person on whom I made that post has responded.
And guess what? I'm confused again. This time, mainly because of the type of English used here...
The type of English used here...
It's barely legible. I had to re-read this a few times to understand what it was actually saying. And even then I doubt I actually understood it properly...
Still, I'll just try to respond to what I believe it's saying...
"When I referred to Church, I meant "places of worship", organised places where you can pay tribute to your faith."
I still doubt that's all you refered to from that.
Cuz what made you assume that it had any power to alter the Quran? Or had done something that it'd have to change the Quran to hide what it did?
And the fact that now youndescribe it exactly the way I described mosque afterwards makes it even less convincing...
"As someone who sadly kept up with this user, and tried to show respect, I tried alot to be aware of those things."
"And everything related to arabphobia. While I can't say I fully understand, I try to be respectful about those things."
What things, exactly?
And no, I'm not Arab. If you'd say "Islamophobia", I'd get it. But what do Arabs have to do with anything related to all this?
Seriously, do people thing that anyone who is a Muslim is also an Arab?
"I am also very aware of the danger of using religion to prey on minors, something which is being/has been debited over."
"In particular the prophet Mohammad had consummated a marriage with either a 6 year old (worst case scenario) or a 16 year old (best case scenario), already debunking the old classic (The Book never being modified... Just adapted to modern times)."
...
... So you believe that Aisha's (RA) age comes from the Quran...?
Wow. You totally are ignorant. Fed with half knowledge.
This is exactly the reason why I said that half knowledge can be dangerous.
Looks like now I'll have to educate you about Islam now...
In Sunni Islam, there are two sources of law. The Quran and the Hadiths.
The Quran was written either at the same time when the Prophet was alive. The Caliphs had made deliberate campaigns to standardise the Quran.
Hadiths on the other hand...
They were written down centuries after the Prophet's death. Even the oldest surviving, full-scale legal and hadith book named Al-Muwatta written by Imam Malik was compiled approximately 140-150 years after the Prophet's death.
Obviously, by that time, there were already thousands of fabricated Hadiths circulating. So to weed them out, they formed the "Science of Hadith" or 'Ilm Al-Hadith.
And although it did weed out many fabrications... The science of Hadith itself is still man-made.
So Muslims generally fall into two types.
Muslims who believe that authentic narrations HAVE to be accepted. Some may go far enough to say that they have to be accepted just like the Quran and some believing that Bukhari (A Hadith book compiled by Imam Bukhari and considered the most authentic Hadith book) can't be criticized.
Muslims who believe that authentic narrations can still be flawed. (Kind of where I stand.)
There are multiple types of Muslim. Now obviously I'm not gonna include every single one of them.
Aisha's (RA) supposed age comes from Hadith, not Quran. To be more specific, it comes from Bukhari.
This is the reason even Muslims themselves are divided on this topic.
Muslims who believe authentic Hadiths cannot be wrong agree that she was 9 when the marriage was consummated. Even justifying it by saying that things were different at the time of the Prophet.
Many Muslims who believe that authentic narrations can still be flawed, however, reject this Hadith. They point out the fact that Aisha's (RA) sister Asma (RA) was 10 years older than her. Which would make Aisha (RA) 18 or 19 when the marriage was actually consummated.
It's quite the headache... Both sides have their arguments. I go with the latter side because their arguments seemed more compelling to me so far.
The Quran itself has nothing to do with Aisha's (RA) age. Because it doesn't even talk about her age to begin with.
So if you're gonna say that Hadiths can be flawed and not exactly what the Prophet may have said, I don't have much problem with that. Because I myself sort of believe that, if not completely.
But if you’re gonna say that the Quran is modified, then go learn about it's history properly first. And maybe actually bring evidence of how it's modified as you quite like to claim it is.
And do you know the worst part here?
Even if it was written in the Quran itself and there would still be debate over it, that still wouldn't mean the Quran itself was modified. Do you even know the difference between "modified topic" and "debated topic"?
"As usual, people hide behind their so called "religious principles". Hide behind a veil of it. Perhaps to justify persecution, but still hide behind the principle of "they don't understand, really", "they get offended too easily"."
And when did I say that homosexuals should be persecuted, huh?
Sure I said that I don't support lgbtq and consider it unnatural, but when did I say that those who are homosexuals, support lgbtq and consider it natural should be persecuted? Huh? Give me one phrase where I said that they should be persecuted.
Legit I have every right to say that you don't understand and get offended easily. Because now you're quite BLATANTLY accusing me of stuff that I never said. I believe this is what exactly people do when they get offended by something or someone that doesn't fit their worldview.
"The citation related to Sodom, is the so called verse against "Lgbt+", the so called unnatural ones... It used to be about Pedophiles."
Proof? Source? Why do you just keep claiming stuff and not provide any proof or even source of it?
"Because truth be told, the differences between Muslims and Christians is purely cultural."
The fact that this is coming from someone who barely has any knowledge about Islam somehow makes it worse.
Also, even if that were the case, so what?
"The Qur'an just like the Bible was lost. And because "people had memorized the verses", truly means the Book has "never been modified or changed".
Load of lies. That's something I've been seeing in this post so far.
I don't know about Bible, but the Quran was never lost. Nor was it just memorized.
It was literally being written down and memorized at the same time when the Prophet was alive. Even the Caliphs after his death made deliberate efforts to preserve the Quran. In other words, it was being preserved both by memorization and in written form.
And again, you provided no proof or even a source of your claim yet.
Let me ask you one thing. Did just hear or read somewhere that the Caliph Uthman (RA) standardized and promoted his own Quran and burnt all the other codices and assumed that he altered the Quran inorder to erase something terrible from it as you've been claiming so much?
Well, too bad for you.
Some companions had different codices. Different codices did exist. We Muslims already knew that.
However, the only difference between them was the order of chapters, dialect and wording. Textual and structural variations existed aswell. But they only featured synonyms and small grammatical shifts.
And the only reason he burnt the other codices was to avoid any conflict over recitation among Muslims.
That's why he did all that. It was only to prevent any conflict over recitation. And he only promoted the master template. He didn't make up his own as you may have thought.
"I find it sinful, your self-righteous cowardice. As even now, you are still more willing to overlook Omori, and it's shotacon creator, than tolerate the "Lgbt community"."
Of course, now you will jump on the creator of the RPG I still consider the best because she has had a history.
First of all, I didn't care or know about any controversy related to her when I found the game. I had known about OMORI and sticked strictly to it. I didn't bother much checking whatever she posted on social media or her history, just like I didn't bother much with Toby Fox when I became a fan of Undertale/Deltarune.
And again, she had apologized afterwards. Said that she misunderstood the term "shota" (how much truth is in that, I don't know). Even removed that shirt.
The comparison you're making here in itself is quite bad. My problem with Deltarune was that it was intensifying lgbtq stuff specifically in Chapter 5 all of a sudden.
Did OMORI promote anything related to pedophilia? Did it intensify any sort of ship? And let's even bring up the creator for argument's sake. Does even OMOCAT herself actively try to justify and promote pedophilia?
Nope. That's not the case.
The game itself had nothing to make anyone uncomfortable with. (Save for the people who are too sensitive and can't bear emotional stuff). I don't bother much with the creator's history or online doings as long as they're not actively trying to be harmful. So I had no reason to be uncomfortable when playing OMORI. Unlike Deltarune chapter 5, which is basically forcing me to watch it promote that sorta stuff.
"You find it natural when an adult man goes after a little girl?"
Nope.
Already said above that I don't find that Hadith very true.
"Then indeed, you truly respect the other person, who drew such acts."
I only respect OMOCAT for making a great game with a great story. Nothing else.
Also, when did she draw pedophilia stuff? You're making stuff up again.
I know about the Manga (in which I have no interest) being made by someone who's apparently drawn questionable stuff.
If that's whom you're referring to, I already don't care about the Manga or whoever is making it.
"..."
"That being said, I don't believe you necessarily find "Pedophilia" good."
Be it that way. Because I hate slander.
"I just think, you shouldn't have double standard about those things, and think you're above criticism just because you're Muslim."
Again I'm saying, I was uncomfortable with Deltarune because it was intensifying stuff like that in the game itself. I wasn't uncomfortable with OMORI despite it's creator having a history because they didn't intensify pedophilia stuff or lgbtq stuff in the game itself.
And if you think me responding to criticism is same as me thinking that I can't be criticized, then that's your problem that you see it like that.
"You debated people, because people have issue with the OMOCAT situation, keep shittalking everything which doesn't even subtly conform your worldview."
When did I debate people over that? You are the one trying to start a debate over that. And I already told you that I don't care about her.
And I was only expressing a PERSONAL issue with Chapter 5. I didn't even say that it made the game bad. How's that me talking crap about it?
Or are you referring to me saying that I find lgbtq stuff unnatural and don't support it?
That's literally our belief. You want me to against my belief just to support what you do?
"And people had given you the benefit of the doubt, and then you went mask off."
And I don't think I did anything wrong by being honest to myself and everyone else.
Some of the rest is just... Him saying bad stuff about himself.
I don't know what to think of you.
"This person is "Homophobic"."
"People of the same faith don't have to make the same excuses as he did."
Oh trust me, you don't wanna know what many people belonging to the same faith as me would say and promote.
"All the people of the lgbt+ community also need to hear this, "You are a perfectly normal person, there is nothing unnatural about you.""
"...I am getting tired of people of any religion calling other people "unnatural" and don't want to get called "bigots"."
"Aren't you all about "labels" fitting the "content"."
For you is what you believe. For me is what I believe.
"Have a nice day, everyone."
Alright, have a nice day.
