Wequer: Arena

Wequer: Arena is the singleplayer component to Wequer! You control a hybrid of the Warrior and Wizard, which means you can move and attack like the Warrior but also purchase and cast spells like the Wizard.

The game is wave based, where your goal is to clear out waves of enemies. When a wave is cleared, a new set of enemies spawns and you get to purchase a new spell!

Spells are reusable in this mode. You can still only cast one each turn, but all your spells refresh at the end of each wave, so you can cast them again. Try and take spells that synergize to specialize your spellbook!

Wequer: Arena will be released as a standalone in early access soonish.

Did a lot of work cleaning up and commenting old uncommented code today and yesterday. Should make things that much easier in the future! Also enjoy this screenshot of the end of a game (I lost to myself)

I'm developing a new commercial game with a small team! A demo will be coming to steam soon, but you can wishlist it in the meantime if you're into deckbuilding / autobattlers / roguelikes!

I'm currently making a Tetris + Mahjong hybrid game called #Nojong. Match colored blocks in the field to make clears. After a number of clears, the blocks left in your hand are scored, so you want to try and keep triples and quadruples in your hand.

Nojong, an arcade mashup of Tetris and Mahjong is out now!

For some reason, it's really hard to change the alpha value of a tile layer in GameMaker. You can do this easily for sprite or instance layers, but not tile layers. So here's a video on how to easily update the alpha value of tile layers in real time.
