If you kept a keen eye to his design here, yes, I changed his design for a bit. I want to make the outfit make more sense, while keeping the impeccable and cold persona. Didn't like how the buttons looked like, so I change it to make the suit as double-breasted, while the top two buttons are connected.
Lore wise, this artwork, alongside other characters' final art piece are actually in the same week (29th to 31st of December), however their timezones are different.
Mizal's final 2024 appearance takes place at night, getting ready to host a pre-recorded talk show. (Design intentionally inaccurate, I want a more complex one)
Digitalyx's appearance is in the morning, sitting eccentrically at a park's marble bench, while reading a manga. The perspective is supposedly a bit higher.
King Cobra's appearance the golden hour (time is up to speculation), standing at the middle of the empty field while holding what seems to be a letter.
Darkiplier's appearance time is in a dark afternoon, visiting a grave that is actually his former self and his sister. The snowy weather is last minute decision.
There are also quotes to show what they think of in the final moments of the year. It reflects their personalities and backgrounds as a person.
Dark's theme in his piece is a nihilistic, dark theme befitting his name. Three of them being stated all dead, despite having only two tombstones symbolises his state as an undead and nearly foreshadows his fate. (He didn't actually died the second time, just nearly fatally injured)
King Cobra's theme, being his sentimental self and his love of wonder. The golden hour reminds him of the time where there is light overcoming darkness, while his body being the 3/4 position at the back but his head still looking behind, is the sign that he tried to move on from the past, yet fails to.
Digitalyx's theme relies on his eccentric and unpredictable behaviour, while the bright light of the morning compared to the rest of the drawings shows that he is the most optimistic of the group, knowing that there is always things to have value of. His quote represents his reliability and his loyalty towards his close friends.
Mizal's theme, finally, represents hope, as he is the hope himself. His wish to see the stars again is the symbolism of reaching a goal that is seemingly impossible, in this case due to the bustling city is filled with light pollution makes it near impossible to see one single star.
Zilch's thematic presentation on the other hand, has a mix of mystery and ambiguity, and his own perspective of having the status beyond humanity. This also includes elements such as fate-changing phenomena, and unsolved puzzles of abstract concept.
Zilch being the embodiment of destruction, as well as the one proclaimed by feared as the "ultimate divine abomination", gains not only the ability to seek and destroy not just a world, but an entire universe as well, but also to create the concept of divine machinery to reality, despite all of that just to be his tools to make way in his plan to gain superiority.
However, his motives of these remains unknown, because even if he creates a group to help him take down people that the members dislike in common, he prefers to be in solitude, refusing to involve himself much in cooperation and distant himself from his own subordinates.
