Roguts are the most standard enemies in the entire game. They spawn, they chase you, they touch you, you die. All you have to do is either dodge them or shoot them down. Pretty simple, right?
There are two types of Roguts in the game (as of the making of this post). Normal Roguts are the generic red enemies with green eyes. Corrupted Roguts, however, are stronger than their normal counterparts (and edgier, too.) They require more hits to defeat, and cannot fly above crates. You can tell they are corrupted because they are a darker red color with BLACK eyes and red pupils (you will get to see what they look like in the future.) Normal Roguts spawn randomly at various rates. However, corrupted Roguts are placed manually at a specific place in a level.
Where does the name “Rogut” even come from anyways?
The name “Rogut” is a combination of the words “Robot” and “Gut”. However, none of that is even accurate to the species at all. They are real living beings and they are not digestive organs. Well, I believe I named them that way because they were supposed to be robots early on in development. Also, it’s a (stupid) pun. However, I think it’s too late to change that name now, so I think I will let that incorrect name stick.
Will there be any other types of roguts?
I mean, there might be. There are many different types I am considering to add into Gooter. I’m thinking about adding in Golden roguts (yellow roguts that are faster and stonger than normal and corrupted roguts) and Viper roguts (purple roguts that are extremely poisonous and can pretty much insta-kill most living beings in a bloody massacre. Gooter would probably want to kill the Viper rogut before it kills everyone else, just because). Those are just some of the ideas I have. There may be more to discover in game, so stay tuned.
