Many people today consider Video Games stupid, pointless, and all around corruption. Believe it are not, besides people who play games there are people who consider Video Game Designing and such a like an art. Whether or not you do, it’s still technically some form of art. Many people today say things like, my child is corrupted because of video games. Your kid. They have to realize that it’s their responsibility to let their child play specific games and to block them from playing games that are really violent.
Around when video games were originally created, the people who made those games would often think of the future. I don’t think they expected it to be the most high resolution pixels money could buy. More of what we see today, a world. Most of the stuff we see in video games is amazing and beautiful, something we couldn’t get before. Not all of us appreciate it, and some of us can’t. We might appreciate the graphics, or the game-play, but they both are a key part of the game it self. I can say I love specific games because the graphics make them uninteresting to me. I don’t know how many games I’ve denied because of graphics. Don’t call me someone who bases games off graphics, because I don’t. I give them each a shot. It’s not like the game itself is good, which is normally why I turn down games. The creation of a video game is very hard and while I don’t have personal experience with this I do know it’s a challenge and it’s all worth it for the creator in the end whether a team or and individual.
Mainstream games or popular games normally get a lot of hate for their whole lifespan. People never give a good reason to why they hate Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddy’s, Terraria, Call of Duty, or any other game that’s popular. Let’s use some of these games as examples.
Minecraft is normally hated for stuff other then its graphics. It’s lack of gameplay compared to other games like terraria and it’s lack of a wide range of item types makes it looked down on. The game itself is a lot different from other building survivals in which it offers a creative design that allows the community itself to be wonderfully ingaged in making things like a working computer or a automatic sand picker upper.
Call of Duty is normally an example for all FPS games, it is hated for what people call cheap gameplay, hacking, issues in multiplayer, bad campaigns, you can go on for awhile. The game itself is a great piece of FPS history and if you stop to appreciate the refferences to real life and how the game is based off of real war you’ll see that the game does have some sort of design. I like the game for how it feels I’m in war and that I can actually do stuff like that. I also like it because it’s a great learning experience when it comes to other FPS games. Halo is also another example, having a big world and a big story plus cool vehicals.
Five Nights at Freddy’s goes to many people right now as bad, especially people who have not played it. While it may not be scary to anybody and it might be boring, the real game is different the the videos, people. If you don’t believe me, play the demo yourself. You don’t need to like the game or get into the games lore but you have to admit the design for the game itself was amazing and it definitely was a great game because of how it made the community rampage. Especially since it started a debate on who did what in the game. They’re just animatronics, but people see them as if they have great emotion.d
Since the year is ending a lot of people don’t have resolutions for New Year’s. Me personally, I’m just trying to exercise more and watch more Anime, but if you need something you could try re visiting old games you never gave a chance. Me? I’m starting Mega-Man II. I went up three screens to see how the gameplay was. Oh boy, this is gonna be fun.
